German beer lovers and cult thrashers TANKARD will release their new album, "R.I.B." (Rest In Beer), on June 20 via Nuclear Blast. The follow-up to 2012's "A Girl Called Cerveza" was recorded at Studio 23 in Frankfurt, Germany.Taking inspiration from the motto "never change a winning team," TANKARD is working with producer Michael Mainx (BÖHSE ONKELZ, DER W, D-A-D, DISBELIEF), who helmed the band's last effort. TANKARD has also chosen to use Patrick Strogulski, who created the artwork for "A Girl Called Cerveza" and is also a student of Sebastian Krüger, the artist that was responsible for TANKARD's previous album artwork up to the 2012 release.
From Beer to Eternity is the thirteenth and final studio album by industrial metal band Ministry. It was released on September 6, 2013, by 13th Planet Records.Due to the death of their late guitarist Mike Scaccia in December 2012, frontman Al Jourgensen decided to disband Ministry once again, making From Beer to Eternity their final album. The first single from the album, "PermaWar", was released by the iTunes Store on August 9, 2013.
Cold Tacos and Warm Beer is the first recorded collaboration from blues veterans Harmonica Slim and guitarist Hosea Levy. This duo has consistently played for a number of years together, mainly in their hometown of Fresno, California, at open air rent parties featuring friends and family. The spark from these impromptu sessions combined with their natural passion to play is what makes this Fedora release what Slim describes as "blues real and true to life."
With 2007’s The Last Sucker Ministry mainman Al Jourgensen claimed it would his band’s final act of musical defiance. Yet in 2012 another album emerged under the Relapse moniker. Al wasn’t too happy being cajoled in another Ministry adventure by his bandmates, but it was a far more inspired effort than its predecessor and an excellent album to go out with a bang. As with 2013, you guessed it Al released another Ministry album, entitled From Beer To Eternity…As with Relapse, the new Ministry album wasn’t exactly planned. In fact, it was the result of a couple of very fruitful writing sessions before the untimely death of guitarist Mike Scaccia. The cadre for this record are formed by the last recorded music by Scaccia and From Beer To Eternity is a musical tribute from Al Jourgensen and Co to commemorate their fallen brother. As a reviewer this puts me in an awkward position, because for all intents and purposes, the final Ministry album is somewhat of a mixed bag.
