Throughout a chequered career Arthur Brown has never been one to play by the rules and when the chart topping The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown split nobody knew what the band’s namesake would do next. When he resurfaced several years later it was with the proto-prog, avant-garde Kingdom Come, a band so way out that time is only just catching up. orway's COME TASTE THE BAND (CTTB for sake of ease) is of course named after that legendary DEEP PURPLE album of the same name. Makes sense, seeing as they were originally a DP tribute band. From the beginning of "Not That Kind of Man" it is obvious where their main influence lays. The transitions, solos, song cord progression are so Purple MIII it fooled my nephew. Not to say it's bad, quite the opposite; it's actually well written and performed, just not ground breaking or terribly original…

Yeah, Kingdom Come were a bit too enamored with Led Zeppelin on their first album, and their career didn't last much longer after that, but at the very least they were one of the very examples of what was storming the rock charts back in 1987-1988. Zep-styled riffs and that sorta watered-down boogie-guitar swagger were everywhere, and Kingdom Come were just one of the many bands getting loads and loads of criticism from purists. Oddly, though, the kids (for a short time) loved it, and the records sold enough to convince those at Polydor to release this collection of some of their more well-known tunes.

In September 2009, Lisa Gerrard and Klaus Schulze performed another tour in six European cities - Warsaw, Berlin, Amsterdam, Essen, Paris, and Brussels. This tour coincided with the release of Come Quietly, a joint project between Gerrard and Schulze that was released during the tour.
