Contemporary Music Score

Hello buddies!
Time ago, a friend uploaded here, the most recent recording of Petrassi's complete Concertos for Orchestra by the spanish conductor Arturo Tamayo (one of the best on contemporary music at the moment), so in order to compare it with the other available recording or, if maybe you are a 'Petrassian' like me :) ,you need to listen to those performances. On the score, Tamayo's recording is much modern in concept, direct and a bit nervous and has a complete digital sound, while in the other hand, Peskó gives to those works a little misterious an dramatic sound. Guo Wenjing is a contemporary Chinese composer. He attended the Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing iand was one of the members of the famous Class of '78, (which also included fellow composers Zhou Long, Chen Yi, Tan Dun and Chen Qigang). Despite being highly regarded in his homeland, as well as having enjoyed some success abroad, no recordings of Guo's music have been made available outside China. The current program features five works by Guo, composed between 1993 and 2003 for traditional Chinese instruments and ensembles, including his two amazing trios for Beijing opera gongs.

A very interesting late romantic symphony, based it on the legend of Il'ya Muromets, the subject of ancient Russian epic. Mostly tonal, very descriptive and dramatic.

A heavenly record projects marks the 20-year collaboration between the contemporary classical trio Alpaca Ensemble and jazz saxophonist and composer Eirik Hegdal. «The Sky Opens Twice» is a pop, experimental, contemporary..
