'Love's Crazy' is the the debut solo album from 112 member Slim. It was released on November 18th 2008. On the album, the silken-throated singer with hip-hop airs, proves himself just as nimble on his own. However, he's hardly alone, as everyone from Faith Evans to Ryan Leslie [and, of course, T-Pain] pops in to lend a hand. 'So Fly' is the lead single from the album and features rapper Yung Joc. The song has reached No.49 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The single version is a remix that features an opening verse by Shawty Lo. This is also the version used in the music video.

More than 250, 000 concert goers gathered on Brighton Beach on July 13, 2002, in what was described as the "biggest event the UK has ever seen." The crowd was more than four times the expected size and at the time, doubled Brighton's population. A year earlier, about 40, 000 people attended the first of the Big Beach Boutique events. But in 2002, Fatboy Slim, real name Norman Cook, performed the second of his free open-air concerts on Brighton beach in front of a record breaking crowd. Magic Slim has released a pile of albums, all of them true to his group's house-rocking credo. The idea this time around was to hook him up with producer Dick Shurman and get Slim to record tunes he hadn't committed to wax yet. With a tight version of the Teardrops aboard (the ubiquitous Nick Holt on bass and vocals, Michael Dotson on rhythm, Allen Kirk on drums, and Slim's son Shawn Holt making a guest appearance on "Young Man's Blues"), Slim turns in a solid effort here. But perhaps the biggest change this time around is the inclusion of four original tunes from Slim, big news for a combo that many consider to be the ultimate blues cover band. Counting Nick Holt's "Playin' with My Mind" and Shawn Holt's "Young Man's Blues," the original material is up to the 50-percent mark, making this their most adventuresome outing to date.

Legendary Chicago bluesman Magic Slim has been around for quite a while now, but as this concert DVD proves, he's still going strong. With a swampy, smoky set of guitars and a relentlessly uptempo blues beat, he and his backing band, the Teardrops, are capable of tearing the roof off nearly any venue. It's impossible to listen to him without quickly finding yourself moving along with the beat, mesmerized by the smooth flow of the guitar picking in contrast to his gravelly bass voice.
