The city of Arcadia is the dark side of the American Dream. It's the land of opportunity, if you've got the money to buy it or the muscle to take it. The police are the best trained and equipped in the country, if you can afford their protection. Crime is under control, because crime is in control. For the corrupt and the ruthless, Arcadia is paradise on Earth. But a cold wind is blowing through the streets of Arcadia, a plague wind in black leather and torn cloth, a one-eyed, one-man judge, jury, and executioner who the papers call "The X-Killer." He has set the new rules for Arcadia. Cross the line once, you'll receive a warning. Cross them twice, and "X" will mark the spot . . . where they'll find your body! Violent and morally ambiguous, X walks the thin line between heroism and obsession and shows that sometimes the cure may be worse than the disease

In a post-apocalyptic future, Nick Masters is a courier that risks life and limb to travel from town to town, delivering packages (whatever they may be). With his kidnapped sister’s life on the line, Nick has 72 hours to get a package through that stretch of road from L.A. to San Francisco known as the “”, for a powerful drug lord. But before leaving, Nick makes a visit to Waylon Biggs, the only man to ever travel the “” and lived to tell about it... Another BOOM! Studios high concept immediately reminiscent of a cross between the and movies. Whether it will work in this 4-part comic book miniseries, only time will tell. Great artwork by Francesco Biagini and Matthew Wilson, though.

Drugs, poverty, alcoholism: the Prairie Rose Indian Reservation has it all. Native son Dash Bad Horse swore he’d never come back to the Rez, but the FBI had other ideas. Against all odds, Dash has managed to keep his cover intact while gaining the trust of Lincoln Red Crow, the man whose criminal empire he’s been tasked with bringing down. But, like everything on the Prairie Rose Indian Reservation, the road has been dirty and dangerous, with death always just a slip of the tongue away. Tough as he is, Dash is starting to buckle under the pressure—and after the brutal murder of his mother, the job has finally pushed him over a line he never intended to cross. Now, just when he needs all his wits to navigate the ever-shifting web of intrigue around him, Dash has numbed himself blind with sex, booze and heroin—and three decades’ worth of secrets are about to explode all over the Rez. In SCALPED: THE DELUXE EDITION BOOK THREE, acclaimed writer Jason Aaron (Original Sin, Southern Bastards) and artist R.M. Guéra (BATMAN ETERNAL, DJANGO UNCHAINED) deepen their generational saga of crime, betrayal and redemption, with guest art by Davide Furnò and Francesco Francavilla, and covers by Jock. Collects SCALPED #25-34.
