Following the success of the 'Tokyo Glow' compilation, Wewantsounds once again teams up with Japanese Tokyo-based DJ Notoya to dig the rich Electric Bird catalogue and come with a versatile selection of sunny Jazz-Funk gems recorded between 1978 and 1987 for the label. A tasty selection featuring Yasuaki Shimizu, Toshiyuki Honda and Mikio Masuda, together with a few American musicians such as Ronnie Foster and Bobby Lyle. Most tracks make their debut outside of Japan and the album has been designed by Optigram/Manuel Sepulveda and is annotated by DJ Notoya. Audio newly remastered in Tokyo by King Records.

It has been a long five years since “Night Electric Night” for fans of DEATHSTARS, but 2014 bears the news they have so long anticipated: the long awaited fourth album, “The Perfect Cult”, by Swedish Gothic Metallers is finally here! With Bone W. Machine and Cat Casino having left in between the two releases, I was eager to see how DEATHSTARS’ music has changed in the interim, with the short answer being that it has barely changed at all.

The album was highly anticipated by both music critics and fans as a result of the band's previous worldwide successes with their 1987 album Electric and its 1989 follow up Sonic Temple. It was heavily inspired by Native American culture. The band was sued for US$61,000,000 by the parents of the American Indian boy pictured on the album cover named Eternity Dubray, who was listed in 2008 as a janitor at Red Cloud Indian School, in Pine Ridge, South Dakota.

Live From Electric Ladyland is a 1991 CD by Living Colour. This was a radio show from The Album Network sent to radio stations on a weekly basis for syndication, so this was never released to the public. The recording was done in New York City on 8 December, 1990. Legendary saxophonist Maceo Parker sits in with the band for "Elvis Is Dead".

With nearly 30 years of experience, Junior Watson has reached cult status. A founding member of The Mighty Flyers he stayed with the band for 10 years. He then left to join Canned Heat for 10 years. He then toured for a while with LA-based harmonica player/vocalist Lynwood Slim. All along the way this great guitarist has backed up and recorded with a who's-who of the blues including Big Mama Thorton, George Smith, Jimmy Rogers, Shakey Jake, Luther Tucker, Charlie Musselwhite, Kim Wilson, William Clark and many more. In the past Junior has always been the sideman or featured guest. Here, for the first time in his career, he has a band that is taking the back seat and having Junior do all the driving. For the first time you can hear this amazing, original artist at the forefront.
