Cunning Folk

Caravan are an English band from the Canterbury area, founded by former Wilde Flowers members David Sinclair, Richard Sinclair, Pye Hastings and Richard Coughlan. Caravan rose to success over a period of several years from 1968 onwards into the 1970s as part of the Canterbury scene, blending psychedelic rock and jazz to create a distinctive sound like their contemporaries Soft Machine. Caravan still remains active as a live band in the 21st century. Dvořák was a composer steeped in the national and folk music of his Bohemian homeland, and his orchestral music combines a broad and soulful melodic sweep with the wit of sparkling orchestration. Whether escaping from a prison or evading an enemy, individuals have shown extraordinary courage and inventiveness during their bids for freedom. "Great Escapes and Prison Breaks" details a number of prison breaks and escapes against the odds, including the mass breakout of Allied airmen from Stalag Luft III, immortalized in the movie The Great Escape.
