Dakini Mantarava is the artistic name of Jens Buchert, a german prolific musician. In the area of Electronic Music like Electronica, Chillhouse, Downbeat, in the spheres of Ambient, Trip Hop and in the widths of Chillout and the realm of first class innovative Sounds, Jens Buchert - the "Sound Wizard" is one of the most talented musicians in these genres. Sky Dancing - Nada Masala Vol. 2 is Dakini's second label compilation, the follow-up to Vol. 1, which has been the label's best-selling and most popular release so far. Vol. 1 quickly sold out its first and second pressings, and has now been re-released in the US and Europe on Milan Music/Universal, with an initial pressing of 20, 000 copies. Dakini asked its favorite artists to create tracks for use by the innovative open-minded bellydancers of the Neo-Tribal underground. A dark, mysterious journey into an imaginary Orient, where the saz and the sequencer, the darbukka and the drum loop, are woven into an electric-acoustic mosaic of past and future.
Inspired by the fresh stylings of the tribal fusion bellydance scene, Dakini's 'Tribal Matrix' series offers tracks equally suited to dancers or Djs, exotic electronica that organically blends mid eastern rhythms and instruments with modern production and grooves.
