Anticipation was high for the release of ‘Hunted’ in 2016, the sophomore album from Denver’s Khemmis and follow up to acclaimed debut ‘Absolution’ . Rather than the all too common sophomore slump, Khemmis raised the stakes and blew everyone away with their rapidly progressing songwriting and production quality, culminating in ‘Hunted’ being named Album Of The Year for 2016 by Decibel Magazine.

Arthur Grumiaux and Walter Klien offer playing with spring in its step and a lyrical yet unsentimental warmth in the slow movements, though that of K296 might with advantage have lingered a little more. These are stylish artists who are also eloquent in the unusually wistful Andante con moto of K380 … Perhaps a touchstone for Grumiaux's qualities is the great slow movement of K454, where he is sensitive to the extraordinary harmonic design and yet over-reliant on the same tricks of tone-colour to project it.

This album explores the connections between classical composers and folk music. This stunning new album features breath-taking works by celebrated composers Ralph Vaughan Williams, Brahms, William Bolton and many more.. Dickson began playing the saxophone at the age of six. She made her concerto debut at 16 and has since gone on to perform at prestigious venues throughout the world including the prestigious Royal Albert Hall, Sydney Opera House and the Konzerthaus, Vienna. Named by BBC Music Magazine as one of the world’s six best classical saxophonists, Amy Dickson has won numerous prizes including the Gold Medal at the Royal Overseas League Competition, the Symphony Australia Young Performer of the Year Competition and the Prince’s Prize. Dickson will tour the UK alongside the acclaimed Aurora Orchestra.

To celebrate the release of Wilco’s new album Ode To Joy (on October 4), 17 esteemed artists – including Sharon Van Etten, Low, Kurt Vile, Courtney Barnett, Cate Le Bon and Handsome Family – have recorded brand new versions of classic Wilco songs for a CD we’re calling Wilco Covered, or Wilcovered for short.

Between 2020 and 2023, Anna Fedorova released all of Rachmaninoff's Piano Concertos together with the Sinfonieorchester St. Gallen and Modestas Pitrenas on Channel Classics Records. BBC Music Magazine gave five star reviews for Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 1, Preludes, and Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini as well as Piano Concertos Nos. 2 & 4, noting that "Ukrainian pianist Anna Fedorova is clearly not only a fine human being … but also a remarkable artist".

Universal Music are to release a five-CD super deluxe edition of the soundtrack to Cameron Crowe’s film Almost Famous (released in 2000). The semi autobiographical comedy drama follows the exploits of a young Rolling Stone journalist as he tours with the (fictional) band Stillwater. It was well-received at the time and won plenty of awards including a Best Original Screenplay Ocscar for Crowe.
