Being an avid fan of 'The Squint-Eyed Cajun' for more than thirty years, it gives me a feeling of pride in knowing that finally! one of the unsung heroes of 60s and 70s rock/soul music is getting his due. This 1983 offering, with its mixture of swamp-drenched whomper stompers like- "Swamp RAP" and "Do You Have a Garter Belt?"- to the soulful cover of "Our Day Will Come" and, the TJW originals- "The Lady In My Life" plus, "We Belong Together"- both of which give rise to the belief that if Barry White hadn't been born with his deep, rich, basso voice, after hearing TJW he would have tried to emulate it anyway! The title track "Dangerous"- and its companion cut "Naughty Lady", give us a feel for the incredible diversity of stylings this artist has in his repertoire. The remainder of the lineup on this well-produced collection only serves to heighten my belief that those who don't know the man's music will surely rush out and get the rest!
