Toshiki Kadomatsu is a Japanese Funk legend who came to the fore in the 80’s for a string of sun-soaked, Miami-Vice inspired bubbly instrumental albums that ooze summery good times in sportscars with bikini-clad women and men sporting white suits and deep tans. Toshiki has been recording for more than three decades and still continues to be prolific and popular in Japan. Sea is a Lady was his most popular album that charted to no.4 in Japan in the mid 80’s.

It's All Gone Pete Tong is a 2004 Canadian fictional independent account about Frankie Wilde (Paul Kaye), a DJ who goes completely deaf. The title is a reference to a rhyming slang phrase used in Britain in the 2000s, referring to the BBC Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong, standing for "it's all gone wrong".The film takes measures to appear non-fictional and is based on the true story of popular Czech DJ Kristov Masalin who lost his hearing due to excessive noise levels at various venues at which he played. However, Kristov's career did not end with his total loss of hearing and used various methods to keep his music career alive.
