The English rock band’s sixth studio album was famously due to be recorded at Montreux Casino before it burnt to the ground. The band ended up setting up the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio in the nearby Grand Hotel which was closed for the Winter, Overlook-style. These events were depicted in the classic Smoke on the Water, which starts side two of the vinyl version of this album.

Deep Purple unleashed one of the best guitar riffs since the invention of rock and roll with “Smoke On The Water,” a song dubbed the Beethoven’s 5th of hard rock. Since its 1972 debut on Machine Head, the song and the album have left an indelible mark on music, inspiring countless bands around the world.

The Deep Purple Singles A's and B's contains the complete collection of Deep Purple's UK released singles. It's a sort of an updated version of the old The Deep Purple Singles: A's & B's 1978. This is a compilation of material by Mks I, IIa, III and IV from 1968 - 1976. In 2010 EMI released another double CD compilation album called "Singles & E.P. Anthology '68 - '80". It contains all songs as herein plus 15 tracks. Kentucky Woman is the album version which is 38 seconds longer than single one.

2009 digitally remastered, 35th anniversary edition of the veteran British Hard Rockers' 1974 album comes with a crisp new remaster. Stormbringer was the ninth studio album by Deep Purple, originally released in November 1974. (and featuring the Mark 3 line-up of the band that included David Coverdale on vocals and Glenn Hughes on bass) this album, much more prominently featured the soul and funk elements that were only hinted at on previous album Burn.

24 Carat Purple is the first compilation album of the hard rock band Deep Purple on their own record company and second in a long line of compilation albums. Released in June 1975. The album marked the debut of the live version of "Black Night", originally a B-side in Japan.

Saxophonist Ben Webster is joined by legendary jazz pianist Oscar Peterson. Webster, known for his association with Duke Ellington's Jazz Orchestra playing lead tenor, frequently played with Peterson in the 1950s and are joined here by some of the best jazz musicians of the time. Ben Webster Meets Oscar Peterson was originally released in 1959, and this studio album is a compilation of seven great jazz tracks, including "How Deep is the Ocean", "In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning", and "Bye, Bye, Blackbird".

The band enlisted engineer Martin Birch — who had worked on several of their best-known studio albums — to record the shows to eight-track tape at Festival Hall in Osaka and the Budokan in Tokyo. The performances on MADE IN JAPAN (SUPER DELUXE EDITION) capture Deep Purple at full throttle, powering through songs from their then-new album Machine Head, along with fan favorites like “Child In Time,” “Strange Kind Of Woman,” and “Speed King.” The collection also includes rare single edits, like the German version of “Black Night” and the Mexican edit of “Space Truckin’.” The live album garnered widespread critical acclaim, with Rolling Stone declaring it “Purple’s definitive metal monster, a spark-filled execution of the typical Purple style.”

Joan Baez is an American folk singer, songwriter, musician, and activist, whose contemporary folk music often includes songs of protest or social justice. This album has been recorded live in the bullring of Bilbao, Spain. It featured twelve songs, six of which were performed in English, five in Spanish and one, "Txoria Txori", in Basque. Most of the songs had been performed and recorded by Baez previously, with the exception of Leonard Cohen's "Famous Blue Raincoat". "Gracias a la Vida" is a duet with singer Mercedes Sosa.
