Resident Evil: Retribution is the fifth chapter is the successful Resident Evil franchise. Following the success of the previous soundtrack to Afterlife, this new chapter is again scored by composing duo, Tomandandy. The soundtrack will also feature the exclusive end credit song produced by dub step heavyweight, Bassnectar featuring Chino Moreno (of the Deftones) on vocals.

Brooklyn three piece Spotlights are back with their third album entitled Love & Decay. The partnership in love and life of Mario (guitar/vocals) and Sarah Quintero (bass/vocals) now officially joined by touring drummer Chris Enriquez. When Aaron Harris (ISIS/Palms) heard the Spotlights track ‘Walls’ he shared it with fellow Palms member and Deftones frontman, Chino Moreno. This in turn led to a tour with Deftones and shared stages with the likes of Melvins, Quicksand, Hum, Glassjaw and Pelican. Before long, Mike Patton was on the case to bring them to the Ipecac Recordings roster.

Much like their breakthrough debut, Astronoid's self-titled follow-up is hard to define and a wonder to behold. Once again transporting listeners into the ether upon a dream-thrash cloud, the Lowell, Massachusetts-based band manage to elevate their sound – soaring higher and purer – while exercising matured control over their attack. Tracks explode even brighter and hit even harder, sliding into a torrential sweet spot that trades the riffy, hardcore leanings and prog noodling of Air for expanded psych-rock atmospherics. Of their many influences, Astronoid draw more upon the beauty/brutality dichotomy favored by acts like Mew and Deftones, a grander and more refined version of their vision.

Soulfly is the self titled debut album by the metal band Soulfly, released on April 21, 1998 through Roadrunner Records. The record was released in memory of frontman Max Cavalera's murdered stepson and the first album featuring Cavalera since leaving Sepultura two years prior. The album has been certified gold by the RIAA. The record features many guests, including members of Fear Factory, Limp Bizkit, Cypress Hill, Deftones, and Dub War.
