A serial killer is on the loose in a small coastal town near Melbourne, Australia. Detective Inspector Hal Challis and his team must apprehend him before he strikes again. But first Challis must contend with the editor of a local news-paper who undermines his investigation at every turn and with his wife, who is attempting to resurrect their marriage through long-distance phone calls from a sanitarium where she has been imprisoned for the past eight years for attempted murder. His! The media is demanding to know what Challis is doing about the killer; his colleagues are either giving trouble or in it; and his past keeps coming back to haunt him. Can Challis and his team nab the Peninsula Highway killer before anyone else gets hurt?

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, the upcoming, realistic battlefield first-person shooter. As the leader of a four-man fire team, it’s up to you to successfully direct your men to their objectives and accomplish them with minimal injuries to your troops. Along with the standard campaign, Dragon Rising will also feature a multiplayer component to expand the warfare to friends or friendly competition. At a recent event, I got a chance to check out both the campaign and multiplayer, and tested the controls as both a squad member and a team leader.

In the Year of the Dragon 2024, pianist Lang Lang celebrates his Chinese heritage with the release of a special digital edition of all his recordings of Chinese works. The album, entitled Year of the Dragon – Songs from China, features a wealth of solo pieces as well as ensemble and orchestral works, in which Lang Lang is joined by an array of other world-renowned artists. These include tenor Andrea Bocelli and soprano Lei Jia, the China Philharmonic Orchestra and Long Yu, the Shanghai Opera House Chorus, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and Tan Dun, and the Prague Symphony Orchestra and Alexandre Desplat.
The album’s 50 tracks span the complete original Dragon Songs album, Tan Dun’s Eight Memories in Watercolour, the Yellow River Concerto, River Waltz, as well as popular tracks from Piano Book. Further, the album includes two brand new recordings – Snowflakes and Moon is Bright Lullaby.

Dr. Edward J. Maruska states (in the forward of this book) "The Komodo Dragon is one of the most Charismatic of living reptiles." Unfortunately little information is available to the adult layman, like myself, about this interesting being. "Komoto, The Living Dragon" helps nibble away at this absence and offers a well written expose on this large predator. The book is written in very understandable pose and relates many facts for those of us that like a little more than a picture and caption. The Komoto dragon, like many of Earth's creatures, is threatened by man's expansion across the globe. The book chronicles how the Indonesian Government and captive breading programs around the world will help protect this treasure for all of us. "Komoto, The Living Dragon", will help a lot of interested people better understand one of Earth's most amazing creatures.
