Songwriter, band leader, and background vocalist Larry Cordle invited several of his famous friends to join him on the album, appropriately titled All-Star Duets, with songs Larry wrote for them. Dierks Bentley, Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Terri Clark, Kevin Denny, Diamond Rio, Alison Krauss, Kathy Mattea, Daryle Singletary, Travis Tritt, Del McCoury, Rick Skaggs and Trisha Yearwood all make appearances on the project.

With the intention of recalling the most significant duets in his career, Eros Ramazzotti released on November 17th, 2017, the album "Eros Duets" in cd and vinyl format. "In the typically genial 2 CD collection of Schubert duets, trios and quartets are resurrected golden age stereo analogue recordings made in 1973. These come to 25 works, all piano accompanied. The artists are the elite of the day. The only name unfamiliar to me was the tenor Horst R Laubenthal. No corners are cut with the notes which have been freshly penned by Malcolm Macdonald. On the other hand there are no texts or translations.
Duets is an album by country music singer Johnny Cash and his wife June Carter Cash, released in 2006. The album is made of duets by the singers mentioned before with songs that Cash had previously released. It is exactly the same as the '16 Biggest Hits' album by the same duo on Sony/BMG Legacy, only with a different cover.
Dvorák has written extensively for voices. Somehow we hardly ever hear any part of this repertoire. This 3 CD set offers the complete music for two and more voices including the choral works by this composer. Most duets are accompanied on the piano. They are rather a mixed bag with a large number of Moravian songs and some Russian and Irish ones.
The source for the songs on this release is a manuscript in the library of Christ Church College, Oxford. Its title page bears the following: “Musica del Signor Angelo Micheli/ Uno de Musici della Capella / de Reyna di Swecia / Uppsaliae Martii 21 / 1653 / a 2 et 3 voce.” The mystery of how a collection of Italian secular songs of the mid 16th century was compiled in Sweden and ended up in England is, fortunately, relatively easy to solve. In 1651, Queen Christiana requested that the bass Alessandro Cecconi put together a company of Italian musicians to reside at the Swedish court.
After Ella Fitzgerald disbanded her own orchestra (the former Chick Webb band) in 1941, she was free to record for Decca in a variety of musical contexts. This set puts together, in chronological order, all of the studio sides she made for that label between 1942 and 1953 singing duets with others singers, such as Louis Armstrong or Louis Jordan, or small vocal groups.
