Eagles Greatest

Eagles Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 is the second compilation album by the Eagles. It features many of their biggest hits not on Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975), including "Hotel California," their signature song. The album was released in 1982, after the band's breakup. That same year, Don Henley and Glenn Frey both released their debut solo albums.

"Their Greatest Hits 1971–1975" is the first compilation album by the Eagles, originally released in 1976. The album contains a selection of songs from the Eagles' first four albums released in the period from the Eagles' formation in 1971 up to 1975. It was the best-selling album of the 20th century in the United States, and it stayed the best-selling album in the U.S. for some years until it was surpassed by Michael Jackson's Thriller after the artist's death in 2009. It is the second highest-certified album by the Recording Industry Association of America at 29× Platinum, behind Thriller. In 2017, it was selected for preservation in the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or artistically significant".

Two CD set, 33 tracks. With a career spanning over four decades The Eagles are among the most successful Rock 'N' Roll acts of all time. The original Eagles compilation, "Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975", remains one of the best-selling records of all time and this updated two CD collection contains all the same hallmarks that made it so successful, with some welcome surprises. The staple recordings remain, with 'Hotel California' the most immediately recognizable, as well as hits like 'Lyin' Eyes' and 'New Kid in Town'. Also included is their single 'Hole in the World', written as a response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Like many of The Eagles' songs, the difficult and confrontational subject matter is softened by their trademark vocal harmonies.

The Very Best Of (released as The Complete Greatest Hits in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand) is a two-disc compilation album by the Eagles, released in 2003. This album combines all tracks that appeared on the two previously released Eagles greatest hits albums (Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975) and Eagles Greatest Hits, Vol. 2), along with other singles not included on the first two compilations, album tracks, and the new track "Hole in the World".

The Hi-Res remastering of the entire Eagles box set was done using the original analog master tapes by Bernie Grundman Mastering using a JCF Audio Latte A/D converter.

Easily one of the most celebrated albums in rock history, The Eagles' Hotel California was both the band's bestselling and most critically acclaimed record.
