Strange Magic: The Best of Electric Light Orchestra is a compilation album by Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), released in 1995 only in the US. The compilation favours album versions rather than single versions; tracks such as "Rock 'n' Roll Is King", "Shine a Little Love" and "Boy Blue" are longer. The compilation is sequenced chronologically and is based around US singles sans 3 from Xanadu, with exception of the European hit "Rockaria!" on disc one.
Secret Messages is the tenth studio album by Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), released in 1983 on Jet Records. It was the last ELO album with bass guitarist Kelly Groucutt, conductor Louis Clark and real stringed instruments, and the last ELO album to be released on the Jet label. It was also the final ELO studio album to become a worldwide top 40 hit upon release. Secret Messages, as its title suggests, is littered with hidden messages in the form of backmasking, some obvious and others less so. This was Jeff Lynne's second tongue-in-cheek response to allegations of hidden Satanic messages in earlier Electric Light Orchestra LPs by Christian fundamentalists, which led up to American congressional hearings in the early 1980s (a similar response had been made by Lynne on the Face the Music album, during the intro to the "Fire on High" track).
ELO Part II were an offshoot band formed by Electric Light Orchestra drummer Bev Bevan. The band also included former ELO bassist Kelly Groucutt, conductor Louis Clark and violinist Mik Kaminski for most of its career. After Bevan left the band in 2000 he sold back the rights of the Electric Light Orchestra name to Jeff Lynne and the band continued on as The Orchestra. This album recorded live in Australia.
Sony Music have released a new 5CD from their Original Album Classics series which compiles the albums "Armchair Theatre," "Zoom," "Long Wave," "Mr. Blue Sky: The Very Best Of Electric Light Orchestra" and "Electric Light Orchestra Live." These albums were previously released by Frontiers in 2012 and 2013, but went OOP when Jeff Lynne released "Alone In The Universe" and returned to touring. Despite the joy of having these CDs back in print, there are some differences with regards to bonus content. For example, the "Zoom" CD on this set omits the bonus tracks 'One Day' and the live version of 'Turn To Stone.' The "Armchair Theatre" CD on this set omits the bonus tracks 'Borderline' and 'Forecast.' The "Live" CD on this set omits the bonus tracks 'Out Of Luck' and 'Cold Feet.'
Live at Wembley '78 is a live recording by Electric Light Orchestra (ELO). The sound on this album has led to accusations of the band Lip synching, as did the earlier video from which this CD was taken…

Electric Light Orchestra without Jeff Lynne likens unto a day without sunshine. But this even-more-anonymous ensemble injects so much calculated charisma into the popcorn here that all is forgiven. Behind these replicated string flourishes and fey-Beatlisms remains sturdy songcraft…
