New for 2019 is this latest ELEGANT SIMPLICITY release "The Ghost of a Smile", featuring a stellar cast of additional musicians. Not a concept album as such - though the songs are thematically linked - and all deal with magic, mystery and the unexplained. It's a very moody album with lots of interesting twist and turns. This is probably our most musically adventurous album, blending progressive rock, hard rock, folk, orchestral and new age into a melting pot of melody.

Swedish label Energy Rekords now presents the re-release of Elegant Machinery’s classic third album, originally released in year 1996 and unavailable for many years now. The album was pre-ceded by the highly successful single "Myself with You", released also by Off Beat sublabel Visage in Germany. Yesterday Man includes timeless synthpop pearls such as "Save Me", "Myself with You", "Fading Away" (also released as an EP by A Different Drum in the US) and many others!

Elegant Weapons is a metal supergroup composed of guitarist Richie Faulkner from Judas Priest, vocalist Ronnie Romero of Rainbow, drummer Christopher Williams from Accept, and bassist Dave Rimmer from Uriah Heep. The band announced their formation on 25 October 2022. The over-arching mandate with Elegant Weapons is to perpetuate the rich legacy of the traditional proto-power metal invented by the heavy metal titans of the‘70s and '80s, most pertinently Richie's own band, Judas Priest.

Practically a one-man band, Elegant Simplicity is headed by composer, arranger, programmer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Steve McCabe. Their material is highly keyboard- and guitar-oriented melodic prog that will alternately remind you of Camel, Genesis, The Alan Parsons Project, Barclay James Harvest, Mike Oldfield. Between 1992 and 1995, McCabe released 7 instrumental cassettes and then hired vocalist Ken Senior (from neo-prog band Evolution), along with a few guest musicians who appeared on subsequent albums. Since 1996, the 'band' has released practically one album a year.
