The young daughter of a US Senator is drawn into a hippie "free love" cult called "The Children of Light" by the blond boyfriend of the cult's leader, a mysterious and beautiful Asian woman. The cult turns out to be not quite the "free" love community it presents itself to be.

This new release too features five exclusive 7-inches, housing a total of 10 seriously rare tunes. All previously unreleased in physical format, the tracks have been carefully selected from the soundtracks of five obscure Italian films from the late ‘70s – sexy flicks that flirted with the line between erotic and explicit, and which are now largely forgotten, having been out of circulation for decades.

SEDUCTIVE TUNES FROM ITALIAN CINEMA CLASSICS. This limited edition collection compiles work from some of the great Italian composers of the 60s and 70s. The moody tracks found their way into the weirdest spots and avant films mostly of the erotic sort but what Italian film of the period didn't have some sort of baby making scene amirite? Nicolai, Morricone, Alessandroni, Bacalov, and many others round out this collection that is limited to 700 copies worldwide.

Unhappily married rich lady Emanuelle is fed up with her sleazy, disgusting and overbearing lout husband Michael and other men insensitively treating her like a piece of meat. So Emanuelle dumps Michael and gets involved in a torrid lesbian affair with enticing novelist Leona.

Porn music is iconic in and of itself. Everybody knows what it sounds like, even if they've never watched an adult film. They know the incessant wah-wah guitars, the limp funk vamps, the shimmering electric pianos, the low-rent production that practically conjures shag carpeting, leisure suits, bell bottoms, and afros – it all adds up to the sound of porn. And, 30 years after the golden age of adult cinema has passed, everybody still thinks this is what porno sounds like, which is why collections like the 35-track (!) Inside Deep Note: Music of 1970's Adult Cinema exist. This collection, copyrighted in Denmark, certainly uses Paul Thomas Anderson's 1998 epic Boogie Nights as its ground zero, claiming that it was produced and compiled by Brock Landers and the Colonel and that the "images" – lots and lots of photographs of women from the '70s, some clearly stills from films, some clearly not; some quite sexy, some quite not; some naked, some just in various states of undress – are from the PT Archives, but it's nearly a sure bet that PTA was not involved in this production.

Subtitled "A Voluptuous Journey Through '70s French Erotic Cinema", this compilation sounds precisely as you would imagine, and for some that'll be a very good thing, but those of you looking for something beyond the vintage euro-funk fromage-athon might be a tad disappointed. So many European B-movies and exploitation flicks from the 1970s have yielded unfeasibly brilliant soundtracks, and while there's nothing at all wrong with any of the material compiled here, there's seldom anything beyond the usual easy listening sample-baiting silliness to arouse your excitement. Having said that, when this compilation scores, it scores big: Piierre Bachelat's soundtrack for Histoires d'O is a psychedelic synth standout, while his visionary 'Motel Show' from Le Dernier Amant Romantique' is as good an Italo disco find as has surfaced in recent times. A special mention should be granted to one of the pieces lifted from the Emmanuelle 4 OST: the rather distressing 'Bach Anal', which has to be one of the most outstandingly insidious puns in the history of word play. In its own Moog-fuelled, breathy chanteuse-fronted way it does sound a bit like J. S. Bach though, which is to its credit I suppose.
