Emi Fujita (藤田恵美) is a Japanese singer. Several of her solo albums have charted in Japan. She has also found some success in Southeast Asia. Her series of "Camomile" albums are covers of popular western songs. Now, for the first time in eight years, Emi Fujita is releasing a new album in her Camomile series, called "Camomile Colors". It includes songs by the Carpenters, the Beatles, Sting, Disney movie themes, traditional songs, and the English version of her Japanese mega-hit "Hidamari no Uta" (Wishes), among others. This acoustic album has been recorded using rare analog technology.

Having recorded some works with a large orchestra in January 1983, in January 1984, Frank Zappa arranged for some of his chamber works to be performed by Pierre Boulez's Ensemble InterContemporain, a 16-piece group. "The Perfect Stranger," "Naval Aviation In Art?," and "Dupree's Paradise" were given this treatment, and the four remaining tracks are the product of Zappa's music synthesizer, the Synclavier. As usual, Zappa's "serious" works are rhythmically interesting and make for challenging listening. Originally released on LP on the classical Angel/EMI label, this album was reissued on CD on Zappa's Barking Pumpkin label in 1992, at which time he resequenced it.

From 1961 until 1963 Helen Shapiro was the UK’s teenage pop music queen, at one point selling 40,000 copies daily of her biggest single, "Walkin’ Back to Happiness," during a 19-week chart run. A deceptively young 14 when she was discovered, Shapiro had a rich, expressive voice properly sounding like the property of someone twice as old, and she matured into a seasoned professional very quickly.
