On the Jimmy Reed Highway was a joy to record with Jimmie Vaughan and all of my good friends who played on that release. But damn the torpedoes, Too Much is Not Enough is a completely different approach to Jimmy Reed. The common thread between the two releases is the incredible talent featured on the tracks. The players are so good that the music speaks for itself. The most important reason to release these songs: they are the last recordings I did with my good friend, Gary Primich. I had planned to do a Jimmy Reed tribute for more than 20 years. My original idea was to release an Omar and the Howlers record which featured guest artists playing on some of the tracks. Give 'Em Enough Rope is the second studio album by the English punk rock band the Clash. It was their first album released in the United States, preceding the US version of The Clash. The album was well received by critics and fans, peaking at number two in the United Kingdom Albums Chart, and number 128 in the Billboard 200.

"Just Ain't Good Enough" is an album Taylor released on the short-lived Beverly Glen label in 1982. The record spawned two R&B hits for Taylor - "What About My Love" and "I'm So Proud" - and peaked at #19 on the R&B charts. It's a solid effort that fits sound and style wise alongside his six albums for Columbia. Taylor, dissatisfied with the label's promotion of the record, would soon leave for Malaco, but this is the missing link in the chain, and an album well worth hearing.
