Entheogenic

Entheogenic is a musical project that crosses musical style boundaries. It mixes coloristic electrophonics with impressionistic orchestral sound. The use of both eastern and western vocals, tribal sounding instruments, as well as an array of synthesizers built the foundation of the Entheogenic sound. Their epic soundscapes manipulated through sound effects and catalystic sonic experimentations have a semi-classical feel to them. Entheogenic also records and uses a large amount of "natural samples" - water, human voices, animals, etc.

ESE's follow up to the acclaimed The Shroom Experience debut album on Practising Nature label. The Other Door showcases the more catchy, ambient dub influenced (The Orb) side of the band. Melodic synthsounds, varied rhythmic elements, psychedelic effects and an occasional guitar combine into a lovely, timeless sound. ESE, Entheogenic Sound Explorers, are the Milano-based musicians Stefano Contini and Piero Marchesi. "The Other Door" contains 50 minutes of crispy, warm and organic infused ambient with psychedelic flavours, all presented in a clear, transparent sound spectrum.

The EP title comes from the meaning of Miraceti, which is a variable star in the constellation of the Whale. When I first heard Miraceti's EP I though it's perfect for lying on one's back, ideally outdoors under the sky full of stars to just drift away, forgetting - at least momentarily - all the worries & problems of every day. First, beatless track sets the mood in: amazonian jungle, chirping birds, frogs…

Mystic Sound ‘Ethneomystica’ series extends the horizons and goes wider, deeper and higher. Your favorite artists together with the label residents open up the boundaries of beautiful worlds and emotions. An astronaut plunking guitar strings in open space, where you can still hear and emerge with music. Or tiny creatures from the fairy tales which are delivering and swirling in the air like in Cirque Du Soleil. Here comes sassy games with bass in an ethnic world of bells and whistles. Maiia makes it all shaky and dancy, and the journey goes on in a dabby way. Fans of vocals will also find joy here. Not mentioning those who fancy relaxing moods with syrupy chants and carpentry workshop in a tropical garden.
