Ergodic

During the last 30 years there have been several attempts at extending the notion of entropy to noncommutative dynamical systems. The authors present in the book the two most successful approaches to the extensions of measure entropy and topological entropy to the noncommutative setting and analyze in detail the main models in the theory.

This book represents the latest developments on both the theory and applications of bifurcations with symmetry. It includes recent experimental work as well as new approaches to and applications of the theory to other sciences. It shows the range of dissemination of the work of Martin Golubitsky and Ian Stewart and its influence in modern mathematics at the same time as it contains work of young mathematicians in new directions. Asymptotic behavior of such sums were first studied in ergodic theory but recently it turned out that main limit theorems of probability theory, such as central, local and Poisson limit theorems can also be obtained for such expressions
