Born in Alicante in 1970, Antonio started playing the guitar at the age of 13 with Mark Knopfler as his main musical influence and assimilating the fingerpicking style as his own. Since the age of 18, he has been learning modern technique and harmony with different guitar teachers. As an avid record collector, he devours all types of music from bands and styles he gets acquainted. With his first band, Yeomen, he performed live for the first time while gaining influence from bands like Camel, Jethro Tull, Kansas, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Yes and musicians such as Andy Latimer, Martin Barre, David Gilmour or Bill Nelson.

It's been a long time since that late May, 2013 week in Luleå, Sweden, where pianist Django Bates and his Belovèd Trio first collaborated with the renowned Norrbotten Big Band. Fully documented in the All About Jazz article Django Bates: From Zero to Sixty in Five Days, Bates, bassist Petter Eldh and drummer Peter Bruun, along with other non-Norrbotteners, including guitarist Markus Pesonen, tubaist Daniel Herskedal and trombonist/vocalist Ashley Slater, made the lengthy trek to this small coastal town, located just 100 kilometres south of the Arctic Circle (and already experiencing 22 hours of daylight), to collaborate with Norrbotten for an appearance at the first edition of Luleå's New Music Festival. The objective was for Bates and his band mates to bring a brand new book of music to life, the pianist largely expanding arrangements of Belovèd's existing repertoire, but also including a commissioned new work from the festival.

‘Silent Temple’ are one of those bands that you just cannot ‘Pidgeon Hole’ a band richly endowed with oodles of talent, that is, from the entire perspective of musicians and vocalists, an interesting conglomerate indeed. You can only wonder at the majesty of their music and at the diversity of their output. Such diversity that embraces a preverbal A to Z of modern music with essences of jazz, folk, rock, new world and elements of classical symphonic progressive rock. Based in Portland. Oregon. The focal point and director of this lush gathering of top-notch but relatively unknown musicians is multi-instrumentalist ‘Amos Hart’.

There s no better way to start off a year for a progressive rock fan than with a new supergroup. Dave Kerzner, well known from Sound of Contact and his growing solo career, announced his new project In Continuum last year. Joining this new musical outfit are vocalist Gabriel Agudo (exBad Dreams) and Randy McStine (The Fringe, Lo-Fi Resistance), along with (fellow) Sound of Contact member Matt Dorsey on bass and the ubiquitous Marco Minnemann on drums as well as a handful of more than special guests. While leading the writing of the album, Kerzner shares composition duties throughout, even incorporating some music co-written with his former Sound of Contact bandmates that was meant for that group s second album that never happened.

During a performance of the “King Eider live band” on Progfarm 2007, it became clear that the interplay between the musicians could easily lead to another band or project and so it did. All the musicians involved wanted to continue. Only guitarist Hans Gerritse (Nice Beaver) who had originally been asked to join the band had to cancel, because the distance between his residence and the location to rehearse was too large. Therefore, Eddie Mulder (who had just left Flamborough Head) was asked to join. Now with six musicians again, they started writing music and rehearsing. On the 29th of February 2008 Leap Day was officially born.In a few months a demo cd containing three songs was recorded and soon after that Leap Day signed a contract with OSKAR Productions (Poland).

"Playing With Fire" is the first live recording by Deep Energy Orchestra. This super-group showcases prog-phenom Trey Gunn (King Crimson) and Indian percussion master Selvaganesh (Shakti, John McLaughlin, Jonas Helborg) teaming up with composer Jason Everett (Mister E) and a Seattle-based classical string ensemble. Performing the eclectic compositions of world-jazz bassist Jason Everett, this group of Indian, Prog Rock, and Classical musicians take the listener on a journey of exotic soundscapes. Jason’s ability to weave Indian-style melodies together with complex, funky, odd-meter grooves is deceptively natural.

On her new album „Good Old Times“ (Lucky Mojo Records), SIMONE KOPMAJER transforms old favourites, clothing pop of the past in a fresh new sound. And she does it in a truly wonderful way… Talking about Simone Kopmajer means talking about one of the most internationally successful contemporary jazz musicians from Austria. Not many in her métier can claim to have played concerts across the planet. There aren’t many stages in Europe the 15-year veteran from Styria hasn’t stood upon. Her expressive and sensitive voice has graced 11 albums and she performed for a loyal fanbase on tours in the US, Japan and Southeast Asia.

Tatvamasi, from Lublin, comes back with a brand new, premiere material. And that is after their very well received last year’s album Haldur Bildur. The new album - The Third Ear Music - is quite an offbit recording. It is a compilation of seven pieces - documentaries of some stage experiences - that I created and registered in 2018-2019 with various musicians - describes Grzegorz Lesiak, the band leader and guitarist.

After the very well received, both by the audience and critics, debut album Repetitions (Letters to Krzysztof Komeda), focusing on the lesser-known works of the legendary Polish composer, the Wrocław-based EABS decided to further expand this lead and released two more vinyl records, "live" and "on tape", which crowned the "Komeda triptych". The astounding reception of the band's debut whet listeners' appetite for completely new recordings. It took 2 years for the new album to materialise, this time, however, it is filled with 100% original material.
