Inspiral Carpets couldn't really sustain their vision over the course of an entire album, yet they made a number of infectious Madchester singles, which became fairly big hits in England. The Singles collects all of the group's U.K. hits, from the swirling, sunny "Joe" to "I Want You," a duet with the Fall's Mark E. Smith that had previously been unavailable on album. Over the course of 17 tracks, nearly every one of the band's great moments ("This Is How It Feels," "Dragging Me Down," "She Comes in the Fall," "Saturn 5," "Uniform") is featured, making Singles a definitive overview of the laid-back baggy band's career.

As Conniff fan for decades , I found these CD marvelous , Wonderful , Awful Nice , as his previous Singles . The only I´d prefer they had released on chronologic recordings , not in reverse as they did , with this and the others Singles . However I prefer to have them than nothing . Ray Conniff is one of the most successful easy listening artist of all time . This third volume of his best from the Columbia Records vaults includes the popular Theme From The Perry Mason Show , It´s Only A Paper Moon and Never Gonna Fall In Love Again

If you add up all the songs Nat King Cole placed in the various Billboard singles charts – including not only the pop and R&B charts, but also the adult contemporary and even country ones, as well as the lists of discs "bubbling under" the main pop chart – the total comes to a remarkable 123, and that's not including the many repeat appearances of "The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas to You)." The entries begin with "That Ain't Right," the King Cole Trio recording that entered the "Harlem Hit Parade" in the fall of 1942, and end with "Let Me Tell You, Babe," which dropped off the easy listening chart in the summer of 1966 more than two years after Cole's death; they range in popularity from "Straighten Up and Fly Right," which topped the black chart for ten weeks and the country chart for six while also placing in the pop Top Ten in 1944, to "Cappuccina," which spent one week bubbling under the pop chart at number 115 in 1961.
