Since the American Federation of Musicians have blocked Pere Ubu from performing in America, the band has renounced not only its American ‘citizenship’ but also its American past. The Pere Ubu Moon Unit, a subset of the band, has released ‘Leeds’ a petition to the authorities in that English town, to grant Pere Ubu asylum as a band that formed in Leeds, in 1975. Those authorities are a specially convened congress of the members of Gang of Four, Sisters of Mercy, Soft Cell, The Mekons and The Wedding Present. Any member of the congress may object and Pere Ubu will then turn to the authorities in Port Talbot for sanctuary.

12 (American Song Book) is an album by Italian singer Mina, released in 2012. In the album, Mina covers 12 standards of American music, originally published between 1930 ("Just a Gigolo") and 1970 ("Fire and Rain"). Among the others, she sings "Everything Happens to Me" for the third time (previously recorded in 1964 for the album Mina and in 1993 for Lochness) and "Love Me Tender" for the second time (previously covered for the 1991 album Caterpillar).

RossoNoemi is the second studio album by Italian singer Noemi, published on 22 March 2011 by Sony Music Italy. The album, with a prominent rock-oriented sound, was preceded by the single "Vuoto a perdere", published on 28 January 2011 and written by the Italian rock-star Vasco Rossi, with Gaetano Curreri, the leader of the band Stadio. The first single was produced by Celso Valli, while the remaining songs were produced by Corrado Rustici. RossoNoemi was recorded & mixed by engineer Chris Manning.

Sarah Brightman (born 14 August 1960) is an English classical crossover soprano, actress, musician, songwriter, conductor, and dancer. Brightman has sung in many languages including English, Spanish, French, Latin, German, Turkish, Italian, Russian, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and Catalan.Brightman began her career as a member of the dance troupe Hot Gossip and released several disco singles as a solo performer. In 1981, she made her West End musical theatre debut in Cats and met composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, whom she later married. She went on to star in several West End and Broadway musicals, including The Phantom of the Opera, where she originated the role of Christine Daaé.
