The book is directed toward students with a minimal background who want to learn class field theory for number fields. The only prerequisite for reading it is some elementary Galois theory. The first three chapters lay out the necessary background in number fields, such the arithmetic of fields, Dedekind domains, and valuations.

Though he's been recording intermittently since 1969, the gritty, James Brown-inspired sound of soul man Lee Fields has undergone a bit of an evolution since he released My World in 2009 and 2012's equally fine Faithful Man. Part of that has to do with the fit he has with the Expressions, his much younger backing band and one of the brightest units on the retro-soul scene. They not only back the singer, but push him into exploring the full range of his voice, exploring colors he hasn't before as he declares, pleads, testifies, and cajoles.

Le Chantes Magnetiques (Magnetic Fields) was really Jarre fifth or so album, not third, since he released a couple albums before Oxygene in the early '70s (for example, Deserted Palace in 1972), and singles as far back as 1970 ("La Cage"). But since most people never heard anything he's done before Oxygene (because those albums are so hard to come by), most simply regard Oxygene as his debut. Magnetic Fields continues more or less in the same vein as Oxygene and Equinox, except now more emphases is put on rhythm. He also got himself some new digital equipment, in this case a Fairlight, which was the first digital sampler.

Strawberry Fields is a 1989 bootleg CD released by Condor/Toasted. The label, allegedly from Australia, released a small number of Beatles bootleg CD's in 1989 to coincide with the release of Ultra Rare Trax elsewhere, and this just gathered a number of songs from different quality sources. There are other CD's, both unofficial and official, that have improved the quality of some of these tracks but I liked how they were presented here. There are a few other Beatles discs on Condor already uploaded, do a search for them. (The cover lists this with the title Strawberry Fields Forever but it was taken from a vinyl record. The disc and spine lists this simply as Strawberry Fields and I will call it that.)
