Djabe held a surprising premiere concert on March 20, 2019. They played their 1998 Witchi Tai To album, because a remixed and remastered, double vinyl version was released, earlier in 2018, for the album’s 20th anniversary. The record was cut at half-speed at the Abbey Road Studios in London from brand new analogue master tapes. The lacquer master discs were cut by the world-famous Miles Showell. The 45 RPM vinyl record was unveiled, with great success, at the 2018 Budapest Hi-Fi Show. Witchi Tai To is one of the band’s most successful albums to date. Simultaneously with its appearance, Djabe exploded into Hungarian music life. In addition to success among the audience, the original double CD and single LP also received the Golden Giraffe Award from the Association of Hungarian Record Publishers as World Music album of the year. The second disc of the dual CD contained multimedia content for computer playback, created by the interactive division of Abbey Road Studios. This happened to be a world novelty then.

Digitally remastered two CD set containing a pair of albums (plus bonus tracks) from the R&B/Soul vocalist. When Leon Haywood soared into the R&B Top 20 with Keep It In The Family in 1974, it marked the breakthrough for this singer and musician who had spent the previous decade paying his dues working in the road bands of Sam Cooke and Big Jay McNeely, and achieving minor solo success with 45s on Imperial and Decca. Leon reaped his reward on joining 20th Century Records at the birth of the Dance Music era in the mid -'70s as his R&B hit singles crossed over into the Hot 100, inspiring the release of two notable albums, Back To Stay and Keep It In the Family. The bonus tracks include a selection of contemporary hit singles and their b-sides on 20th Century.

"They Don't Make Them Like They Used To" is the 19th studio album by country superstar Kenny Rogers. The album's title cut was used as the theme tune to the box office hit movie Tough Guys. The song "You're My Love" was written by Prince under the pseudonym "Joey Coco" and features El DeBarge on backing vocals. The album was a top 20 success on the country charts (and crossed over into the pop Billboard 200) with the single "Twenty Years Ago" peaking at #2. Two singles came from the album. The title cut, released at the end of 1986, only made #53 in the country charts although it did well by hitting #10 on the contemporary charts. When RCA released "Twenty Years Ago" in 1987, however, Rogers returned to the top five at #2, matching this feat in Canada as well.

The band Steely Dan - in essence the musicianship and songwriting team of Walter Becker and Donald Fagen - has long divided the critics : some have marvelled at a highly imaginative blend of intelligent, "literary" lyrics and a carefully crafted influence of jazz and Latin rhythms within the rock template, whilst others have detected a certain coldness in the work, due perhaps to over-elaboration and perfectionism. Of course, deciding to name your b.nd after a dildo in William Burroughs's cult novel Th Naked Lunch will invite criticism , but none of those who questioned Steely Dan's Status at the top of the tree of 70s rock could ever seriously dispute the immaculate execution of their vision.

"To Cy & Lee: Instrumentals Vol. 1" has a suitably individual genesis. Alabaster DePlume was working for Ordinary Lifestyles, a charity in North Manchester UK which supports people with disabilities to live in their own homes and to live fulfilling lives. Specifically, he was working with the titular Cy and Lee. His job was to get the guys socializing and he did this by making up songs with them.”
