High-Orders Motion Analysis: Computer Vision Methods

High-Orders Motion Analysis: Computer Vision Methods by Yan Sun
English | PDF (True) | 2024 | 90 Pages | ISBN : 9819991900 | 5.2 MB

This book shows how different types of motion can be disambiguated into their components in a richer way than that currently possible in computer vision. Previous research of motion analysis has generally not yet considered the basic nature of higher orders of motion such as acceleration. Hence, this book introduces an approximation of the acceleration field using established optical flow techniques. Further, acceleration is decomposed into radial and tangential based on geometry and propagated as a general motion descriptor; this book shows the capability for differentiating different types of motion both on synthesized data and real image sequences.
An Analytical Mechanics Framework for Flow-Oscillator Modeling of Vortex-Induced Bluff-Body Oscillations

An Analytical Mechanics Framework for Flow-Oscillator Modeling of Vortex-Induced Bluff-Body Oscillations by Sohrob Mottaghi
English | EPUB | 2020 | 255 Pages | ISBN : 303026131X | 17.25 MB

This self-contained book provides an introduction to the flow-oscillator modeling of vortex-induced bluff-body oscillations. One of the great challenges in engineering science also happens to be one of engineering design – the modeling, analysis and design of vibrating structures driven by fluid motion.
Navier-Stokes Flow Around a Rotating Obstacle: Mathematical Analysis of its Asymptotic Behavior

Navier-Stokes Flow Around a Rotating Obstacle: Mathematical Analysis of its Asymptotic Behavior by Sarka Necasova
English | PDF | 2016 | 100 Pages | ISBN : 946239230 | 1.15 MB

The book provides a comprehensive, detailed and self-contained treatment of the fundamental mathematical properties of problems arising from the motion of viscous incompressible fluids around rotating obstacles. It offers a new approach to this type of problems. We derive the fundamental solution of the steady case and we give pointwise estimates of velocity and its gradient (first and second one). Each chapter is preceded by a thorough discussion of the investigated problems, along with their motivation and the strategy used to solve them.

analyzing the experimental data and constructing math.ematical models of the processes under study, one has to rely rather on the physical intuition than on the strict calculations. Now let us go one step higher and explain the main title of the book.

Solid-Liquid Two-Phase Flow in Centrifugal Pump  eBooks & eLearning

Solid-Liquid Two-Phase Flow in Centrifugal Pump

Solid-Liquid Two-Phase Flow in Centrifugal Pump by Zuchao Zhu , Yi Li , Zhe Lin
English | EPUB (True) | 2023 | 240 Pages | ISBN : 9819918219 | 113.3MB

This book conducts a systematic study on internal flow characteristics and performance of centrifugal pump for solid–liquid mixed transportation. First, the applicability of the computational model for two-phase flow is analyzed. Then the relationship between the two-phase flow characteristics and wall wear in the pipeline is revealed. And the flow characteristics in centrifugal pumps are analyzed in relation to conveying performance and wall wear. Finally, the engineering application calculation of the mixed transportation pump with different impeller structures is carried out. The target audience of this book is researchers who perform calculations and engineering applications of solid–liquid two-phase pumps.

This book considers the influence of the particle size on the force magnitude of the particles and analyzes the applicability of different solid–liquid two-phase calculation models. Considering the different motion trajectories of particles colliding with dry wall, wet wall, stationary wall, and moving wall, visual experiments are used to study the collision rebound model of different walls. The collision rebound model is applied to the numerical simulation of solid–liquid mixed transport.
