His award-winning tone, and silky leads breathe new life into well known songs, and his jazz arrangements of songs from the 60”s and 70’s offer a delightful revisit to the songs of that era. ​His new recording, “Near Me,” is a collection of Standards, originals and covers, the highlight of which is a duet between L J and Canada’s jazz vocalist jewel, Emilie-Claire Barlow.

Now in their 18th year, the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards are a key highlight of the folk music calendar and serve to raise the profile of folk music.
