Forgiven

Blue Lake Woman tells the story of Nagare, a painter who wanted to commit a lover's suicide with Mizue, the wife of his friend and patron Takigawa. Growing afraid at the last moment, he doesn't go through with it - but Mizue sinks to the bottom of Blue Lake. Some time later, Nagare follows an invitation by Takigawa, who claims to have forgiven everything.

19-year old Qinghong has grown up in the poor Guizhou province, where her parents settled as part of a government initiative. Guizhou is where her friends are, where she first experienced love and where she wants to stay, but her increasingly bitter father dreams of the good life in Shanghai.

Three beautiful young women are united by a strong friendship and a passion for unarmed combat. Boo and TT open a boxing gym but unfortunately their friendship is damaged and their partnership ruined when a boyfriend comes between them. Boo attempts to start a new business, this time with Miu and the plan is to use their beauty to attract male customers. TT still has not forgiven Boo and tries to make trouble for their new business.

Dario is a little publisher from Milano. He is joining the Mantova Festival Letteratura (Book fair) 2004. Marta, his unsatisfied wife, accompanies him. Leon is a French designer-photographer. While Dario is busy with his own business, Marta take a visit to the celebrated Palazzo Te; here under Giulio Romano's fresco representing Jupiter's erected penis she meets Leon. Immediately they become lovers and spend the entire book exhibitions' days making love almost everywhere. This liaison will have soon effects also on the regular one between Marta and Dario.

Robert Zemeckis is arguably a close second behind Steven Spielberg as the contemporary American director who has most consistently gained critical acclaim while generating massive box office and popular appeal with a slew of iconic films. In 1940, Alfred Hitchcock made his official transition from the British film industry to Hollywood. And it was quite a year: his first two American movies, Rebecca and Foreign Correspondent, were both nominated for the best picture Oscar. Though Rebecca prevailed, Foreign Correspondent is the more quintessential Hitch film. A full-throttle espionage thriller, starring Joel McCrea as a green Yank reporter sent to Europe to get the scoop on the imminent war, it’s wall-to-wall witty repartee, head-spinning plot twists, and brilliantly mounted suspense set pieces, including an ocean plane crash climax with astonishing special effects. Foreign Correspondent deserves to be mentioned alongside The 39 Steps and North by Northwest as one of the master’s greatest adventures.

"Out 1" is a very precise picture of post May '68 malaise - when Utopian dreams of a new society had crashed and burned, radical terrorism was starting to emerge in unlikely places and a great many other things. Two marginals who don't know one another stumble into the remnants of a "secret society": Colin, a seemingly deaf-mute who all of a sudden begins to talk and Frederique, a con artist working the "short con" (stealing drinks and tricking men who think she's a hooker out of their money). Meanwhile there are two theater groups rehearsing classic Greek dramas: "Seven Against Thebes" and "Prometheus Bound"….

Josef K wakes up in the morning and finds the police in his room. They tell him that he is on trial but nobody tells him what he is accused of. In order to find out about the reason of this accusation and to protest his innocence, he tries to look behind the facade of the judicial system. But since this remains fruitless, there seems to be no chance for him to escape from this Kafkaesque nightmare.
