Perhaps the most unique thing about Whitesnake is that this four- or five-piece band is in fact a one man’s band in many respects and that the frequent personal changes within their line-up are nothing surprising. Whitesnake is then a band of many incarnations and many faces, and there are staunch followers of every – from their blues rock beginnings in the late ‘70s to the recent line-up that toured the world in support of 2011 Forevermore album.

Sunstorm is an American AOR musical project, featuring lead vocalist Joe Lynn Turner (formerly of Rainbow), bassist/vocalist Dennis Ward, guitarist Uwe Reitenauer, drummer Chris Schmidt, (all members of the band Pink Cream 69) and keyboardist Jochen Weyer. The album also features artists such as Dann Huff and Jim Peterik as additional songwriters. The first album called Sunstorm was released in 2006, followed in 2009 by their second album House Of Dreams. Emotional Fire is the third release, out in 2012.

A household name since the early '70s, John McLaughlin was an innovative fusion guitarist when he led the Mahavishnu Orchestra and continued living up to his reputation as a phenomenal and consistently inquisitive player through the years. He started on guitar when he was 11 and was initially inspired by blues and swing players. John McLaughlin worked with David Bowie, Alexis Korner, Graham Bond, Ginger Baker, and others in the 1960s and played free jazz with Gunter Hampel for six months. His first album was a classic (1969's Extrapolation) and was followed by an obscurity for the Dawns label with John Surman, a quintet set with Larry Young (Devotion), and My Goals Beyond in 1970 which was half acoustic solos and half jams involving Indian musicians.
