Few would deny that fresh water is perhaps the world's most precious resource, yet the way things are headed we may lose that resource sooner than we think. Now, environmental activist Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence Wade Davis attempt to raise awareness about global water issues by embarking on a breathtaking river-rafting adventure down the mighty Colorado River. The Colorado Delta has dried up, yet people in seven states and two countries use the water of the Colorado River for agricultural purposes every day; many never realizing precisely where their water is coming from. Is it possible to balance the needs to man with the needs of Mother Nature? And is it realistic to think that we can provide fresh drinking water to everyone on the planet? The coronavirus crisis caused a massive spike in the sales of tinned goods, and the baked beans factory upped production to deliver almost 50 million cans in just one month, nearly double the amount of tins they would normally sell in the same period.

New York City. Melvin Udall, a cranky, bigoted, obsessive-compulsive writer, finds his life turned upside down when neighboring gay artist Simon is hospitalized and his dog is entrusted to Melvin. In addition, Carol, the only waitress who will tolerate him, must leave work to care for her sick son, making it impossible for Melvin to eat breakfast.

In Wigan, Gregg Wallace visits an enormous soup factory, which produces two million tins a day. He follows the production of vegetable soup, from a pea harvest in Yorkshire right through to the finished soup going into cans and being dispatched. Along the way, Gregg watches as a five-tonne avalanche of peas – around a million individual peas – is frozen within two hours of being picked. He mixes up three tonnes of veg and 500 gallons of tomato sauce and watches as they are combined and packed into 10,000 tins. Gregg is astonished by a 27.4m-tall pressure-cooking tower and surprised to learn that for every one degree drop in temperature in winter, the factory observes a 3.5% increase in soup sales.
