A fully authorised box set celebrating Gentle Giant’s back catalogue titled Unburied Treasure is to be released on December 6 through Madfish. The limited edition collection will be spread across 30-discs and contain all 11 of the band’s studio albums, along with 15 live concerts – seven of which have never previously been released, while a further seven have never been officially released.

Essential: A masterpiece of progressive rock music
I’m really speechless. Sometimes, I feel ambarassed by my lack of mind-opening. Once again, after 3 (the magic number) good listen at the album, I do not regret to have purchased this BRILLANT record. Gentle Giant is a very respectable, yet ‘easy listening’ prog band. But this time, it’s getting crazier.

Essential: A masterpiece of progressive rock music
In a Glass House deserves a place in your shelf as Moving Pictures (Rush) or Close to the Edge (Yes).

Mellow Records' Gentle Giant tribute album, Giant for a Life, is something of a mixed bag. Containing everything from attempts at note-perfect copies (most of them) to imaginative rearrangements (Raymond Benson's solo piano take on Think Of Me With Kindness, for example). Some of the bands are not too well known, but all are talented. Nice tribute but the originals are still better!

"Three Piece Suite" follows the highly successful reissues of "The Power And The Glory" and "Octopus", and features Steven Wilson mixes of a specially curated selection of songs taken from the band’s first three albums ("Gentle Giant", "Acquiring the Taste", "Three Friends"). The album also includes the previously unreleased song "Freedom’s Child" (from the band's first recording sessions with producer Tony Visconti).
