Sasha Dobson is an American jazz singer from Santa Cruz, California, now based in New York City. Dobson comes from a musical family. Her father, Smith Dobson was a pianist who recorded with Mark Murphy and played with Bobby Hutcherson and her mother Gail is also a singer, and her brother Smith is a tenor saxophonist, drummer, and vibraphonist. The family performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival in 1991 when Dobson was twelve.

Three Blind Mice Blu-spec CD reissue series. Limited paper sleeve edition. Girl Talk was Tsuyoshi Yamamoto's sixth leader album released by the Three Blind Mice label in a short span of two years. With a huge hit of Midnight Sugar, the young pianist –who was 28 at the time of recording – had become one of the most popular jazz pianists in Japan. With bluesy and soulful style influenced by Red Garland and Wynton Kelly, Yamamoto and his trio tackled well-known jazz standards and a popular movie tune ("The Way We Were"). One of the highlights is "Take the 'A' Train" which begins with a free style introduction and moves into a high-speed, high-spirited swing.

Joe Beck was an American jazz guitarist who played in a variety of jazz styles, including jazz fusion, post bop, mainstream jazz and soul jazz. On this album Joe Beck joined with Joey DeFrancesco and Idris Muhammad. As result the trio plays subtle, tastefully rendered versions of jazz standards. Beck's guitar takes inspiration from the Jim Hall and Pat Metheny, featuring gentle bent notes, muted strumming, wandering melodic lines, and a smooth, rounded tone.

A perfectionist, gifted with a sharp sense of self-criticism, Joe Beck (born on July 29, 1945, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvannia) was making good music (and a lot of money) when he disappeared from the NY music scene in 1971 to become a dairy farmer in Vermont. After his professional debut with Paul Winter’s group in 1964, he had played with such masters as Gary McFarland, Charles Lloyd, Chico Hamilton, and Gil Evans, on whose orchestra he was a member from 1967 to 1971. (One of his best albums with Evans, Where Flamingos Fly, only came out ten years later on the Artists House label).
