Purcell and the majority of the British public were genuinely fond of Queen Mary, who with William replaced King James on the throne when he fled to the continent. London musicians breathed a collective sigh of relief at the Glorious Revolution and Purcell composed six of his finest Odes to honour his new Queen’s birthday.

Glorious Bankrobbers was formed originally summer 1983, First lineup was: Olle Hillborg, vocals, Jonas Pettersson and Mikael Jansson, guitars, Staffan Bjφrkman, bass and Jφrgen on drums. Mikael, Staffan and Jφrgen left the band and the bassplayer Pelham and drummer Oden joined in on the first album “Glorious Bankrobbers” 1984 (produced by Kee Marcello).Glorious Bankrobbers toured in Sweden + a few gigs in Norway (Sardines 17 May 1987, Jeeesus!) and got a reputation of being one of Stockholms most explosive live acts by then. Pelham left the band -87 and Lake left Front of House for the bass. Mikael from the first lineup came back and the second album “Dynamite Sex Dose” was recorded spring 1989.

Occasionally a musician has to take a step back into the past to develop artistically. Evergrey, took this risk and reorganised their artistic environment. Glorious Collision is a dynamic goody bag featuring the most diverse material ever released on an Evergrey album. This may sound like a contradiction, but they have allowed more influences on Glorious Collision than ever before. Some elements on Glorious Collision are classic rock, based on a metal format, sometimes the tracks are quiet and haunting, sometimes wild, demanding and gripping.

Bonfire come back to their fans with a new lineup, a new studio album and a Tour throughout Europe named ´Glorious Tour`! Bonfire has released a total of fifteen studio and live albums since its foundation in 1986. More than one million copies of these records were sold so far. In 2003 the band was awarded a golden record for 250,000 units sold of the Fireworks Album just in Germany! Glorious includes twelve new songs and two new recordings of the Bonfire classics ,,Sweet Obsession” and ,,American Nights”. The new album marks the first to feature new vocalist David Reece (Bangalore Choir, Tango Down).

From her days with the all-girl band the Runaways through her work with her own band, Joan Jett has been a pioneer, if not an innovator. She has always paid loving tribute to the riffy rock music that she loves. On album number six, Glorious Results of a Misspent Youth, Jett, backed by her Blackhearts, churned out more of the same, but with some of the most satisfying and strongest material of her career…
