Good Against Evil

An enormous robot has come from deepest space, crash-landed on Earth, and followed eleven-year-old Hogarth Hughes home. Set during the Kansas-Missouri border war, the film follows Jake (Tobey Maguire) and Jack Bull (Skeet Ulrich), who join the Confederate-sympathizing Bushwhackers after Jack Bull’s father is killed by abolitionist Jayhawkers, and find an unusual ally in Holt (Jeffrey Wright), who’s fighting for the South despite being a former slave. A rumination on identity and loyalty, both political and personal, Ride with the Devil is a provocative challenge to preconceptions about America’s bloodiest conflict.

Yuichi Shimizu (Satoshi Tsumabuki) is a young man who takes care of his grandparents in a decaying fishing village in Nagasaki. His grandparents raised Yuichi instead of his mother. Yuichi now works as a civil employee. He is a lonely man.
One day, Yuichi meets Yoshino Ishibashi (Hikari Mitsushima) an insurance sales woman from Fukuoka. They first met through an online dating site. Their meeting ends in tragedy with Yuichi murdering Yoshino. Unexpectedly, a rich young university student from Fukuoka, named Keigo Masuo (Masaki Okada) endss up as the prime suspect. Hiding in fear & agony, Yuichi goes on with his daily life…..

"El laberinto del fauno" nos sitúa en el año 1944, quinto año de paz, y cuenta el apasionante viaje de Ofelia (Ivana Baquero), una niña de 13 años que junto a su madre Carmen (Ariadna Gil), convaleciente a causa de un avanzado estado de gestación, se traslada hasta un pequeño pueblo en el que se encuentra destacado Vidal (Sergi López), un cruel capitán del ejército franquista, nuevo marido de Carmen y por el que Ofelia no siente ningún afecto. La misión de Vidal es acabar con los últimos vestigios de la resistencia republicana, escondida en los montes de la zona. También ahí se haya el molino donde Vidal tiene su centro de operaciones; en él les aguardan Mercedes (Maribel Verdú), una joven que se encuentra a cargo de los demás miembros del servicio, y el doctor (Álex Angulo), que se hará cargo del delicado estado de salud de Carmen. Una noche Ofelia descubre las ruinas de un laberinto donde se encuentra con un fauno (Doug Jones), una extraña criatura que le hace una increíble revelación.

Loosely based on a true story, Christopher Plummer plays British bank robber Eddie Chapman who finds himself caught between the waring parties in WW2, the British and the Germans. working as a spy for both sides he tries to play the 3rd reich and the British against each other. the real life Chapman described himself as a completely 'amoral' person, which adds a nice philisophical touch to this somewhat colourful spy-flic. Is there any moral in making war ? Even if you're the 'good' fighting 'evil' ?
