Robert John Arthur Halford (born 25 August 1951) is an English singer-songwriter, best known as the Grammy Award winning lead vocalist for the heavy metal band Judas Priest. Halford has a four-and-a-half octave vocal range, having demonstrated range from D2 to G♯6. He is one of the most respected singers of heavy metal and rock music with a quasi-operatic vocal style and high-pitched screams. He has been nicknamed "Metal God" as a tribute to his influence on metal, after the Judas Priest song of the same name from 1980's British Steel.
"Made of Metal" is the fourth studio album by the heavy metal band Halford, the solo project of Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford.
Celestial marks Halford's second album of Christmas music, re-made in a Heavy Metal style. In making the album which includes interpretations of traditional festive songs "Away in a Manger", "The First Noel", "Good King Wenceslas" and many more - Rob has been joined by a number of associates, friends and family. As well as the traditional Christmas songs, Celestial also includes four brand new original songs recorded specially for the project.
