An apparent murder-suicide in a hospital emergency room leads to an investigation by the on-call doctor, which reveals a plot by an insane toymaker to kill as many people as possible during Halloween through an ancient Celtic ritual involving a stolen boulder from Stonehenge and Halloween masks.

On the night before Halloween, seventeen year-old Megan and her group of friends are conned into taking part in a prank that accidentally lands their friend Beth in a coma. What Megan and the others don’t realize is that their new friend Kyle was intentionally trying to rid himself of the Curse of the Carver: a curse that kills you on the night before Halloween unless you can trick someone into killing another person.

Ray Bradbury helped adapt his own classic story for the screen in this spooky animated adventure. Four children are struggling to come to terms with the illness of their close friend, Pip; as they get ready to celebrate Halloween, Pip's favorite holiday, Pip takes a turn for the worse, but as he's taken to the hospital in an ambulance, the kids see what appears to be Pip's spirit running through the woods. The kids give chase, and happen upon Mr. Moundshroud (Leonard Nimoy), the mysterious proprietor of a local spook house, who gives the children a crash course on the history of Halloween and its traditions.

Just when it looks like they've gotten themselves into a tight jam, however, the sleuthing pair find unlikely allies in the form of two incompetent burglars (Dean Cain and Joey "Coco" Diaz) with a habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
