is a special collection of stories by a variety of top writers and artists published in a month-long, weekly series of one-shots starring the greatest villains in Batman's rogues' gallery. The official title, according to the DC Comics Database dc.wikia.com, is --I only use mine for easy search and reference. It is split into two parts or volumes, the first one published in September of 2008 and featuring glances into the lives of the Joker, Penguin, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, and Two-Face. The second, published for the month of August 2010 but actually released earlier in June 2010, features the Riddler, Harley Quinn, the Mad Hatter, Killer Croc and Clayface. In both, Batman's deadliest foe has the viewpoint; giving bookend narrations in the first volume and as narrator in the second. It always takes talent to achieve that riveting mix of menace and playfulness that is the essence of the Joker's persona. Have the creative teams DC tapped managed to pull it off?
