Heart over Mind is the third studio album by American singer Jennifer Rush. It was released in 1987. With her first two albums being recorded in Germany and Rush experiencing much success in Europe, she decided to relocate to the US for her next album. Working with writers and producers such as Harold Faltermeyer and Michael Bolton, this album would go on to be one of the most successful of Rush's career…
Taylor Dayne made a huge splash with the roaring dance/R&B title cut. Her big sound, flamboyant manner, and carefully calculated explosive delivery put her in the forefront at the time among female singers mixing soul and classic disco influences (Lisa Stansfield would soon emerge at the head of the class). The rest of the album is pleasant but inconsequential pop and dance filler.
All six of the iconic Johnny Cash American Recordings LP's are now available in their entirety in one box for the first time. Produced by legendary producer Rick Rubin these 6 180gsm LP's are housed in a beautiful 12x12 cloth covered box.
Albums included are: American Recordings (1994), Unchained (1996), American III: Solitary Man (2000), American IV: The Man Comes Around (2002), American V: A Hundred Highways (2006), American IV: Ain't No Grave (2010).
Following the same formula as her early records, Heart Like a Wheel doesn't appear to be a great breakthrough on the surface.
