It is the 1st Black Sabbath album to feature vocalist Ronnie James Dio, who replaced original vocalist Ozzy Osbourne in 1979. Produced by Martin Birch, the album was a commercial success, particularly in the United States, where it reached #28 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified Platinum for 1 million sales. In the band's native country, it sold well enough to be certified silver by the British Phonographic Industry in April 1982.

Of the four albums Oscar Brown Jr. recorded for Columbia in the early to mid-'60s, Between Heaven & Hell is perhaps the least celebrated, in part because it was the last to get onto CD (taking until 2010 to do so). Brown did his best work during this stint for Columbia, however, and this, the second of those LPs, fits comfortably into the flow of his peak as a recording artist. It's entirely characteristic of his sound of the period, Brown delivering sly lyrics with a hipster feel to bluesy jazz arrangements with big-band verve. The most famous, and best, of the songs is the first, "Mr. Kicks," with its up-for-anything devil-may-care vibe.

One of a series of remastered and sonically enhanced editions of the Vangelis albums recorded for the RCA and Arista labels. All of which come in deluxe digi-pack designs, with masters personally supervised by Vangelis in 2013. The magnificent “Heaven And Hell’ was the first album by Vangelis to be released by RCA Records in 1975 and was also the first album to be recorded at Nemo, his personal studio in London. This epic work in two parts featured the English Chamber Choir (conducted by Guy Protheroe) and Vangelis’ first collaboration with Jon Anderson of Yes on ‘So Long Ago, So Clear’. This Esoteric Recordings release (undertaken with the full approval and supervision of Vangelis himself) features a booklet that restores the original album artwork.

Themes from William Blake's The Marriage of Heaven and Hell is the fourth studio album by Norwegian experimental collective Ulver. Produced with Kristoffer Rygg, together with Knut Magne Valle and Tore Ylwizaker, it was issued on December 17, 1998 via Jester Records. It is a musical setting of William Blake's poem The Marriage of Heaven and Hell. The album blended electronics, industrial music elements, progressive metal and avant-garde rock, adding ambient passages, following Blake's plates as track indexes. Stine Grytøyr, Ihsahn, Samoth and Fenriz all feature as guest vocalists. The album received widespread acclaim from critics within both the rock/metal and alternative music press - being awarded Album of the Month in several high-profile magazines such as Terrorizer, Metal Hammer, and Rock Hard and ranked very highly in their end of year's best polls. However, the album’s transitional nature perhaps alienated many fans of the band’s first three albums - causing a backlash from the black metal scene.Controversial director of films Kids and Gummo, Harmony Korine, recently commented, alluding to The Marriage of Heaven and Hell: "There's a real lineage from a composer like Wagner to a band like Ulver."

The first recording in Vangelis his "Nemo studio" in London. Some parts were actually recorded amongst the mess the construction workers had left to use again the following day. Vangelis created a revolutionary sound within the broad concept of the title.
It contains the very first collaboration with Jon Anderson: a song named "So long ago so Clear". The album soon became a big hit in the UK charts, making it the first commercial success of Vangelis' solo career. It is particularly well known in some countries for its appearances in the TV series "Cosmos".

Vangelis created a revolutionary sound within the broad concept of the title. Many choirs (the English Chamber Choir conducted by Guy Protheroe) and many synths performing a very unpredictable "fusion meets classical" composition.
