Dimos Moutsis, one of the most talented and charismatic greek composers, released this album in 1979, with Manolis Mitsias who was already popular and owes to Moutsis some of his best selling hits. The lyrics are of Nikos Gatsos, the beloved poet of Manos Hadjidakis. The album contains 2 songs with a "country" flavor (Tracks no 1 and 3) and many of the songs became best sellers and are popular till today. Enjoy a delightful album, product of three top artist in their very creative moments.

Excellent work of Stavros Xarhakos with the original music and songs for the homonymous 1983 multi-awarded movie of Kostas Ferris. "Rebetiko" soundtrack is the most revolutionary work of Xarhakos with powerful songs written on the poetry of Nikos Gkatsos. The movie explores the history of modern Greece from 1922 till the civil war of 1945 through the life of a woman, singer of "rebetika" songs (the greek "blues" or "fados"). The great composer was at the zenith of his inspiration and created a musical masterpiece. The album contains some of the most beautiful greek songs ever recorded. At the 2nd CD (track 9) you can hear Xarhakos himself singing for the first (and last) time. Enjoy a real gem.
