Originally released only in Japan, Flood is a classic jazz/funk album. Herbie Hancock's eighteenth album features songs from previous albums Thrust, Head Hunters, and Man-Child.

Head Hunters is the twelfth studio album by American jazz musician Herbie Hancock, originally released on Columbia Records in the United States. Recording sessions for the album took place during September 1973 at Wally Heider Studios and Different Fur Trading Co. in San Francisco, California. Head Hunters is a key release in Hancock’s career and a defining moment in the genre of jazz funk. In 2003, the album was ranked number 498 in the book version of Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. In 2007, the Library of Congress added it to the National Recording Registry, which collects “culturally, historically or aesthetically important” sound recordings from the 20th century.

The music of Herbie Hancock has affected the lives of generations of jazz performers. Like many of these musicians, it was the opportunity to play with the great pianist/composer that introduced the great drummer Mike Clark to the jazz world at large. To show his appreciation, Clark presents a selection of his favorite Hancock pieces performed with a trio on his new recording, Mike Clark Plays Herbie Hancock.

"An Evening With Herbie Hancock & Chick Corea: In Concert" is a live album featuring Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea playing only acoustic piano. Recorded over several live performances in February 1978, the album is an interesting departure from the jazz fusion which both keyboardists specialize in playing.

This 1977 trio session reunites jazz bassist Ron Carter with pianist Herbie Hancock and drummer Tony Williams, the rhythm section from Miles Davis's second great quintet. The Penguin Guide to Jazz has called this Carter's best album; a collection of hard driving, improvised acoustic jazz by three of the best players in the business.

Sony Japan continues with their limited edition quad SACD series with one of the greatest masterpieces of the fusion jazz genre. The 1973 “Head Hunters” album from keyboardist Herbie Hancock gets a reissue in multi-channel surround. Not only is the packaging unique to other editions, for the first time, the actual 4 channel quad version of the album has been released in a digital format. This should not be confused with the SACD that was issued by Sony Japan back in 2008, a multi-channel version which was reconfigured from the four channel master tapes. Instead this newly remastered 2020 edition truly gives quadrophonic collectors the original mix on a great format, and directly takes fans back to the 70's quad era.

"Perfect Machine" is the thirty-seventh album by jazz pianist Herbie Hancock, and the last with the Rockit Band. Perfect Machine was also Hancock's final album for Columbia Records and is considered the least popular of the three Rockit band albums.

Future Shock is pianist Herbie Hancock's thirty-fifth album and a million-selling Platinum-certified disc. It was Hancock's first release from his electro-funk era and an early example of instrumental hip hop. Much of the album was initially composed by the team of avant-garde bassist and record producer Bill Laswell, and keyboardist and producer Michael Beinhorn, and played on tour by their group Material in 1982.

Gershwin's World is the 42nd album by Herbie Hancock. This album featured the songs of George and Ira Gershwin. It features several prominent musicians including Joni Mitchell, Chick Corea, Stevie Wonder, Wayne Shorter, and the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.

"The Piano" is the twenty-sixth album by Herbie Hancock. As with "Directstep" (recorded one week previously), this album was recorded, and originally only released, in Japan. It was one of Hancock's most successful albums in Japan, perhaps because it was entirely solo piano. Hancock tackles Jazz standards such as "My Funny Valentine", "On Green Dolphin Street" and "Some Day My Prince Will Come" while also composing/performing four original songs. This album was initially released exclusively in Japan and first issued there on CD in 1983. In 2004, over 25 years after its recording, the album was released with four additional alternate takes of the same session. It was the first and only (until 2014) of Hancock's Japanese releases available internationally.
