In this, the third installment in Steven Bernstein's Diaspora series, one of the most active and imaginative musicians in the downtown scene explores compositions from the Jewish tradition through the rose colored lens of West Coast Jazz. Actually recorded in the Hollywood Hills with a fabulous all star quintet including vibes and bass flute, Steve's lush arrangements take off from the intimate small group jazz sound of the Shelley Manne and Shorty Rogers units from the mid fifties. Beautiful arrangements that come from the heart and a savvy choice of traditional compositions make this one of Steve's greatest projects.

This is BIG Rock! Ocean Hills, the new band of former Ignite singer Zoli Téglás, is here - delivering up-to-date stadium Rock with and alternative touch to it. Definitely one of the bands to watch! He has been the voice of melodic hardcore band Ignite, but Zoli Téglás is a lot more than just that: Having also been fronting Pennywise and the Misfits temporarily, Téglás in addition has a nice resume of acting in Hollywood movies and is known as an activist for animal rights and environmental protection for many years.

This 4 CD set tells the story of music and people who moved from one corner of the US to another - namely the southerners who relocated to the West Coast in the 30s and 40s, bringing country music along with them. Artists such as Tennessee Ernie Ford and Cliffie Stone epitomised the trend and the tracks collected together on this set, along with the authoritative liner notes tell the story of the great move west and of a time before country automatically meant Nashville.

The Stooges led by Iggy Pop defined the US garage band genre and went on to become one of the most influential bands of the late 1960s and early '70s. The band were formed by brothers Ron and Scott Asheton on guitar and drums alongside bass player Dave Alexander and with Iggy Pop on vocals. The two Asheton brothers came and went at various times from The Stooges line-up but most fans agree they were pivotal to the band's raw sound and when Ron Asheton died in 2009 at the age of 60 many believe that The Stooges died with him.

Finnish alternative rockers Sunrise Avenue favor a brand of melodic, semi-hard rock with apparent influences ranging from Pearl Jam to Bon Jovi. The band was formed in Espoo, Finland in 1992 by lead singer, songwriter, and guitarist Samu Haber; after several years of shifting personnel, including a few years spent in Spain, Haber established a consistent lineup featuring keyboardist Jukka Backlund, bassist Raul Ruutu, and drummer Sami Osala. After making the rounds of Finnish record labels and finding little interest, Sunrise Avenue self-financed their debut album and in time signed a deal with Bonnier Amigo Music in 2005. Sunrise Avenue released their debut single, "All Because of You," in early 2006, followed by "Romeo" and the European hit "Fairy Tale Gone Bad," before debut album On the Way to Wonderland was released in the fall of 2006.
