The Walking Dead is an American monthly black and white comic published by Image Comics beginning in 2003. The comic was created by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Tony Moore (replaced by Charlie Adlard from issue #7 onward) and chronicles the travels of a group of people trying to survive in a world stricken by a zombie apocalypse. IMHO the best among all the current comic book series ongoing.

Eng | Filesonic & Hotfile | 31 CBR & 14 CBZ | Wildstorm (DC) / Dynamite Entertainment | Aug 16 2006 - Aug 4 2010 | 678.6 MB Total

is an American creator-owned comic book series, written by Garth Ennis and illustrated by Darick Robertson, set in a contemporary world very much similar to the real one, with one notable exception: a number of people have some form of superpower. The series follows a superpowered CIA squad, known informally as "The Boys", whose job it is to keep watch on superheroes and, if necessary, intimidate or kill them. The first six issues were published by Wildstorm, starting in 2006. On January 24, 2007, the series was abruptly canceled with issue 6. DC (of which Wildstorm is an imprint) was allegedly uneasy with the anti-superhero tone of the work. In February 2007 the series was picked up by Dynamite Entertainment and it resumed in May of that year. Issue #45 is part two of the story arc entitled "Believe." Typical of Ennis' work, violent and explicit yet with subtexts of his opinions on just about anything, from comic books to fanboys' preoccupation with them. In other words, terrific. Mature Readers only.

is a black-and-white comic book series in anthology format published by Avatar Press. Its website describes it as "an ongoing comic book series published four to six times a year", but since January 2006 after Issue #54 it has apparently stopped publication. The book consists of three to six stories per issue. Launched in 1998, Threshold had become the premiere anthology on the independent comics scene--and the longest-running American anthology comic title in the direct market, 2000 AD being a British publication. A title that has been called the American indy scene's answer to some of the world's best-known comics anthologies such as Heavy Metal and others, Threshold has encompassed a huge variety of stories for the mature readership including horror, science fiction, sword and sorcery, jungle fantasy, erotica, adventure, manga, and more. Threshold has featured characters and titles such as Pandora, The Ravening, Webwitch, Lookers, the Furies, Fauna, Faust/777, Razor, Widow, Snowman, Nira X, Kaos Moon, Cuda, Dark Blue, and dozens of others by creators such as Warren Ellis, Tim Vigil, David Quinn, Mike Wolfer, Al Rio, Jacen Burrows, Matt Martin, Sean Shaw, Rick Lyon, Bill Maus, Matt Martin, David Boller, Phil Xavier, Robert Lugibihl, and many, many more. Many of the 54 issues posted include multiple variant covers.

30 Days of Night Comic Book Compilation

was a three-issue horror comic book mini-series written by Steve Niles, illustrated by Ben Templesmith and published by IDW Publishing in 2002. All three parties co-own the property. The series takes place in Barrow, Alaska, so far north that during the winter the sun does not rise for 67 days. Vampires, being vulnerable to sunlight, discover and then flocked to Barrow to take advantage of the prolonged darkness to feast upon the town's inhabitants. Initially an unsuccessful film pitch, the series became a breakout success story for Steve Niles, whose previous works had received relatively little attention. It was also the first full-length work by co-creator Ben Templesmith. The series became a surprise hit, revitalized the horror comics genre and jump-started the careers of writer Steve Niles and artist Ben Templesmith and has been followed by numerous sequel series, all of which, including extras, are included in this compilation. I'm still looking for the missing , which is a comic book nor a graphic novel but an actual written novel of the film adaptation of the original 3-issue miniseries (that other alleged 3-issue miniseries, was of course an April Fool's gag as perpetrated by Ben Templesmith in his blogspot). As such this comic book compilation is .

is an eponymous Western comic book antihero created by writer John Albano and artist Tony DeZuniga and published by DC Comics. The right side of his face horribly scarred, he was an officer for the Confederacy during the American Civil War, fought at Gettysburg and is normally shown wearing a tattered Confederate States Army jacket. Hex is surly and cynical, but bound by a personal code of honor to protect and avenge the innocent and is in many ways similar to Clint Eastwood's (2 similar ongoing titles from Dynamite Entertainment are also posted here in Avaxhome by yours truly, complete). Jonah Hex had his first self-titled series that began in 1977 and lasted for 92 issues and which came to be known as Jonah Hex Volume 1. Aside from this, he also had a sci-fi-based eighteen-issue limited series that had scant recognition in the US but gained critical success and acclaim in the UK and elsewhere, plus three other miniseries under DC's Vertigo imprint. The current ongoing series, Volume 2, started in November 2005.

is an occult and horror-themed ongoing comic book anthology series based on the classic series that ran from 1951 to 1983. It is written by Bill Willingham and Matthew Sturges (writers of the Eisner-nominated ). It debuted in July 2008, published by the Vertigo imprint of DC Comics. It features a different story each issue, told by people trapped in a "purgatory-like" House of Mystery. They are gathered in the house bar where everyone must pay for their drinks with stories, and no one can leave without being picked up by the house's mysterious coachman. None of the house's occupants are sure why some people might get to leave and others not, so each person's stay is at least ostensibly eternal until the coachman inexplicably turns up to take them away. This doesn't stop some of the inhabitants from trying to get out. One of the characters in the series, Cain (of ), continually attempts to return to the House of Mystery, his home in the Dreaming (a fictional place; a comic book location in the DC Comics Universe; the domain of Dream of the Endless in Neil Gaiman's ). Issue #20 is entitled "Elegies", concluding of the five-part story arc, " The Beauty of Decay."

Logan. James Howlett. Weapon X. Wolverine. A Mutant whose gift is the Hunt—aided by an unusual skeleton that grants him savage claws, heightened senses, and a healing ability capable of miracles. Brainwashed, tortured, and injured beyond any normal man’s ability to survive, Wolverine has not just endured for over a hundred years, he has grown stronger. Wolverine Origins is the title character's second solo ongoing comics series published of course by Marvel Comics, beginning in the summer of 2006. It essentially revisits how Wolverine came to be and how he discovers that he has a son named Daken who has been brainwashed and made a living weapon by the villain Romulus, the man behind Wolverine's own brainwashing. Wolverine makes it his mission to rescue Daken and stop Romulus from manipulating or harming anyone again. Issue #41 starts the five-part story arc, "Seven The Hard Way.".
