Since the late '80s, Irish singer/composer Enya has become the most unlikely of international stars, delivering lush, Celtic-driven pseudo-classical odes in her signature Wall of Sound vocal style, rarely granting interviews, never touring, and generally taking as much time as she wishes between albums. Bucking odds and industry trends, her popularity has remained steadfast, allowing her to become the best-selling Irish solo artist of all time. Following 2008's snowbound And Winter Came, her silence stretched to eight years – the longest of her career – before the mists once again parted to reveal her eighth album, the evocatively titled Dark Sky Island.

Ian D Hawgood - Tents And Hills (2008). Written and produced between October 2007 and June of 2008, this release actually already appeared in part (its first four tracks) as an EP on luvsound in March 2008, after which Hawgood created four additional pieces to go along with them. Like much of Hawgood's material, "Tents and Hills" merges purely synthetic and natural elements into drone meditation settings of sometimes recognizable and sometimes abstract character (the mass of sound streaming through “No Clouds” could be a piano chord stretched out indefinitely, for example, or it could be something else entirely)…

Stardelay is German-born multi-instrumentalist Carsten Mentzel. Carsten's specialty is the Fender Rhodes and the Fender Telecaster. Don't try to pigeonhole his creativity to one genre. His home is trip-hop, ambient-lounge, slow-funk, electro-pop, fusion jazz and nu jazz. Bitter-sweet emotionality and melancholy full of relish are created by dreamy guitars, sounds of sitars, mellow walls of keyboards and archaic bass. Beside his mastership on these instruments Carsten fosters his vocals with more than three octaves. His first steps could be heard on Ozella Music's compilation The Sound Volume I.
