On November 6, 2020, the day after his 40th birthday, musician and composer Ibrahim Maalouf will unveil his 12th studio album entitled "40 melodies" in reference to his 40 candles.

FIRST NOEL is an album in which I reinterpret 25 of the greatest Christmas classics in addition to 3 unreleased tracks that I composed.

A pioneering figure in the world of contemporary jazz thanks to his fusion of pop, soul, electro, hip-hop, and French chansons with the music of his Lebanese roots, Ibrahim Maalouf is widely regarded as one of the most gifted trumpeters of his generation. Born in Beirut in 1980 to a pianist mother and famous trumpeter father, Nassim, he fled to the suburbs of Paris with his family from a young age during the midst of the Lebanon civil war. Inspired by his parents' musical background, he began studying the trumpet and classical Arab music from the age of seven, and as a teen, often performed the works of Vivaldi, Purcell and Albinoni alongside his father across Europe and the Middle East.

In 18 albums, Ibrahim Maalouf has gone from winner of the world's greatest international classical trumpet competitions to the most popular jazzman on the French music scene. Filling Istanbul's Volkswagen Arena, New York's Lincoln Jazz Center and Washington's Kennedy Center, in 2016 he became the first jazzman in history to sell out France's biggest concert hall, Paris Bercy's Accor Arena.
