Immersion Pink Floyd

EMI's Immersion Edition of The Wall offers a new remaster of the original album, a remaster of the previously released concert album Is There Anybody Out There: The Wall Live, a DVD containing a documentary among other visual highlights and, finally, two discs of demos from the band and the album's chief songwriter, Roger Waters. These demos are the true highlight of the box, and they've been arranged into seven separate programs, all arranged chronologically and tracing the development of the album from Waters' solo demos through relatively rough full-band run-throughs. The first Programme, running 22 tracks, is devoted to the original Waters solo demos and runs through the entire album in miniature, then the second Programme adds a few selections from the full band. These are quite subdued and slow, a clear outgrowth from the moody malevolence of Animals…

Pink Floyd followed the commercial breakthrough of Dark Side of the Moon with Wish You Were Here, a loose concept album about and dedicated to their founding member Syd Barrett. The record unfolds gradually, as the jazzy textures of "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" reveal its melodic motif, and in its leisurely pace, the album shows itself to be a warmer record than its predecessor. Musically, it's arguably even more impressive, showcasing the group's interplay and David Gilmour's solos in particular. And while it's short on actual songs, the long, winding soundscapes are constantly enthralling. The Immersion Edition of Wish You Were Here expands the double-CD Deluxe set with two DVDs and a Blu-ray…

On its release in 1975 Wish You Were here topped the album charts in both the UK and the US. Reflecting the bands thoughts of the time on the music business, and exploring themes of absence, Wish You Were Here contains the classic cut Shine On You Crazy Diamond, a tribute to founder member Syd Barrett.

New CD for Pink Floyd collectors. Includes only 6 tracks. Three 2011 remaster versions of "Money", "Wish You Were Here", and "Another Brick in the Wall, Part II" plus three very interesting tracks: live version of "Us and Them" from Wembley 1974, which comes from the now-available Experience and Immersion editions of DSOTM, an alternative version of "Have a Cigar" with David Gilmour and Roy Harper on vocals and a demo version of "Another Brick in the Wall, Part I".

The Windmill are a Norwegian progressive rock band formed in 2001 in the outskirts of Oslo. The music is symphonic neo prog influenced by several bands from the golden years of the seventies, such as Genesis, Pink Floyd, Camel and others. The debut album "To be Сontinued …" was released May 2010.
The album is filled with excellent compositions, built around melodic guitars, powerful organs, lovely vocal arrangements and some superb synthesizers. The album even contains a fantastic 21-min. epic, entitled ''A Day in a Hero's Life'', with strong Genesis, Yes and Camel inspirations, led by strong breaks, dramatic changes, instant melodies and a very rich and sensitive approach, incorporating influences also from Folk Music and Heavy Rock. But the remaining pieces are actually on the same level, full of delicate flutes, smooth organ and intricate guitar ideas to go along with quite decent vocals…
