After delivering a steady stream of music between 1993 and 2007, Swedish Progressive veterans Anekdoten seemingly vanished. A 2-disc anthology surfaced in 2009 and a few live dates occurred, but otherwise, silence. Not until 2013 did the band begin circulating updates about a follow-up to 2007’s "A Time of Day". Posts on the band’s webpage clearly conveyed the group’s desire to not only release new material, but to produce something worthwhile. That level of commitment is commendable, but 8 years is still a long time for fans to wait. Imagine the anticipation that came with the band finally re-emerging with "Until All the Ghosts are Gone".

King Crimson opened 1970 scarcely in existence as a band, having lost two key members (Ian McDonald and Michael Giles), with a third (Greg Lake) about to leave. Their second album – largely composed of Robert Fripp's songwriting and material salvaged from their stage repertory ("Pictures of a City" and "The Devil's Triangle") – is actually better produced and better sounding than their first. Surprisingly, Fripp's guitar is not the dominant instrument here: The Mellotron, taken over by Fripp after McDonald's departure – and played even better than before – still remains the band's signature.

In the Wake of Poseidon is the second studio album by the progressive rock group King Crimson. By the time this album was released, the band had already undergone their first change in line-up, however they still maintained much of the style of their first album, In the Court of the Crimson King. Also like their first album, the mood of this album often changes from serene to chaotic. (Wiki)

Excellent addition to any Rock music collection.
It was interesting to listen what kind of result comes from the musical vision of King Crimson’s court lyricist and its musicians without the presence of Robert Fripp…
